Also on the exterior, the Holt end corridor end hood has now been fully fitted and the end sliding doors have both been painted back in their original brown colour.

Internally has been steady, with further assembly of the Holt end vestibule ongoing. The toilet compartment is now finished after a final day was spent varnishing and cleaning in there.

Maintenance

TSO 4641 has see some attention this week before it returns to service in the Spring. Three unstable door locks/catches have been re-secured properly which required quite a lot of stripping down. A saloon light which had failed is also being investigated.

  1. I’ve never seen the correct brown used on the corridor end before. What’s the paint code for it?

    1. We believe it is the same "Freight Brown" or "Bauxite" used on BR freight wagons. We do not know the code for it, but the colour is available from both Craftmaster and Williamsons paints on request.
